I don't mind paying $12 per year for premium membership. I only use PM occasionally, but love search and checking out user profiles. So it's worth it to me.

If you don't want to pay for it, you don't really want it.

To switch to yearly, cancel your monthly subscription (in paypal), then come back to the site and start a yearly subscription.

Just an idea...
Non-Premiums could always use Google to search the forum.

Just use the search term and site:forum.interference.com in google....

example: site:forum.interference.com Canadiens1160

Do you know how it determines what to show? The results were not chronological and didn't seem to have any pattern. Not that I really care, I'm just interested since I know nothing about the technology of search engines and databases in general.

Google sorts based on how "relevant" something is... according to them. lol.

LivLuv, Google use a concept they call PageRank to "measure" how important a page is on the internet.

There is a nice explanation of it here:

PageRank is Google's way of deciding a page's importance. It matters because it is one of the factors that determines a page's ranking in the search results. It isn't the only factor that Google uses to rank pages, but it is an important one.
