Rankings?

I have a question about the ranking system, I assume that's what it is... for instance, my "ranking" is Babyface. I've seen War Child, etc.

My question is how do you go up in rank?
By the number of posts?

If so, how many posts need to be made before you go up a rank?

Ex.
Babyface 1-20
War Child 21-50
... and so on

If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance
