Please help - How to put an Avatar under my username

Please help

I need to know how to place a picture in my author box. Can anyone help? There is an IMG icon but I cant figure out how to use it.

Maggie, click on the User CP link at the top of the forums which will take you to your control panel. Then click on Edit Options and scroll all the way to the bottom to where it says "change avatar" Click that button then you can choose from the list of which picture you want to put there or you can upload your own from your computer.
