Photo Galleries?

Are all the photos we uploaded to the old-school galleries still around somewhere? I just realized that I lost the memory card that had all the photos from my trip to Philly in '05, but I uploaded them to the old gallery. I just don't know how to get there/if they're still around somehow.

But you're right, the links don't work. Is there any way to get the photos now though, or do I just need to hurry up and wait and hope Andy remembers to get around to it? I'd rather not hang on indefinitely hoping I might maybe get the pics back some day.

Click on the pic then on the upper right there should be a drop down to delete the pic.

I'm not sure but I do know they are still working on this so maybe just hang in there a bit longer and see if it corrects itself.

Sorry, was looking at the admin options. Open the pic, and on the top right there should be a drop down, 'Image Tools'. Select Edit picture, then you should be able to delete it from there.

Looks like the coding (direct link / BB image / <img> tag) for the 'red x' pictures is screwed up, although the URL at top looks normal.

Hm, ok, I opened up a picture to try deleting it, but when I did the edit picture, there was nothing saying "delete".

After you click on an image, do you see 'Image Tools' on the upper right and then 'delete this image' ?

"Delete This Image"--it should be right at the top after clicking "Image Tools" then "Edit Image." Above the thumbnail that appears for editing.

I don't recommend attempting to use the "Category Admin" option on your gallery mainpage; I tried renaming my albums from there, and it seems to have permanently f**ed all my links up. It only seems to provide the option of creating a new 'sub-album' within your existing ones (as opposed to renaming existing albums, or even just creating a new album)--the 'sub-album' title does replace the original title on the gallery mainpage, but the link to it doesn't work, and if you look at the location breakdown over the individual pictures, it doesn't seem like either the new 'sub-album' or the rename actually happened from in there. Not consistently, anyway.



In light of those link mixups plus the incorrect image coding on the 'red x' pictures I mentioned earlier (though I went ahead and deleted my 'red x' pic anyway), I'm inclined to suspect that everyone's 'red x' pics are still in there somewhere, it's just that the links to them are somehow messed up.

Also, there no longer seems to be any reasonably easy way to organize the pics in the order you want. You used to be able to number them and then have it automatically order them that way.

I know it's small, but I just tried again and this is the screen I get when I hit edit image. Nothing anywhere says "delete".

Hmm.. well I've mentioned this to Andy, along with the other photo gallery bugs so hopefully they'll be fixed soon.

Huh. Yeah, looks just like my screen--except without the Delete option. But when I go into your (LMPA's) gallery I do see the Delete option. Maybe someone accidentally did the settings so that only mods and admins can edit galleries.

OK... WTF???

1) When I go into Member Galleries & click on "B", my name doesn't show up, even though I have 7 pics uploaded.
2) If I click on the "Images" link under my avatar, then it takes me to my gallery but shows the exact same shot 7 times.... although each is named slightly different.
3) When I click on an individual photo, it goes to the 'large view' screen with the film strip underneath. What's in the viewer is one of the pics I took & uploaded but the filmstrip shows the same shot over & over. If I hit the little advance button though, the photos that I actually took are what show up in the viewer.

Any ideas on what's causing this cluster &/or how it can be fixed????
