new forum suggestion

I'm not sure if this has ever been suggested before, but...

I propose a new forum, to be named Vorsprung durch Technik. I've noticed a lot of computer/technology-related questions lately in Lemonade Stand. How about a forum dedicated to such questions? Lord knows I have tons of computer issues, and I think a forum such as this would be very convenient. For one thing, many of these threads wind up dropping off the first page with minimal replies--if it were in its own forum, there may be greater chance for some feedback. To demonstrate the potential usefulness of this forum (and because I am a ), I've taken the liberty of providing all threads with computer/technology related questions/concerns on the first 25 pages in Lemonade Stand:

The idea isn't to rid Lemonade Stand of all that is technology-related (it's an off-topic forum after all). It's more to offer one spot for computer woes. If this idea is flat out rejected, I will not be bitter. I just feel like it could be very useful.

Hmm I think we might get lynched if we add any more forums.

Many people complain as it is that there are too many forums

Although it might fit nicely under the mp3 forum...

Will have to run it by higher powers.

If such questions are put under the mp3s forum, I'd suggest that it definitely be a subforum in there, as opposed to making the mp3 forum itself the place to ask such questions. Sifting through which threads are for mp3s and which ones are asking computer advice would become quite a pain....

One thing that makes it nice to post these questions in Lemonade Stand is that LS gets quite a lot of flow---making it more likely to get your 'help me' question answered by at least one person. For example, putting my hard drive thread there got me a ton of answers & advice and helped me decide what to buy. A separate computer subforum may not have given me so many answers in just a few hours. While there are definitely plenty of people who would ask questions in a computer-only forum, I don't know how many people would actually visit it regularly to answer the questions...

not trying to be a jackass here but...

So we have a new forum for a type of thread that pops up once every couple weeks, yet we still dont have a forum designated for game threads that inundate most of the forums.

There was even a poll started by Elvis asking if a game forum was a good idea and it was overwhelmingly supported. And I have yet to see one person say they would be upset if one was created.

Yet we got the old "too many forums already" excuse for that, but there is room for a forum of which threads will remain on the first page for weeks, if not months. I don't get it, but I guess that's why I don't run the board.
