Make "search" available to everyone

Does the search feature take up a lot of bandwidth? Or perhaps the search is a premium member feature to entice people to pay the membership fee for the site?

The number of threads that are repeated would probably be reduced dramatically if the search was available to all members. Just a thought....perhaps I should have searched to see if this was already mentioned..heh
