Disable email alerts for thread subscriptions?

Does anyone know how to disable the email alert for every post/reply etc that I make, it fills up the inbox rather quickly and i would like to disable that feature. Any ideas? Thanks.

Stop subscribing to every thread and delete current subscriptions from your usercp.

the specific place to find this is in the user cp, under edit options. under "messaging and notification" is a box for subscriptions. select "do not subscribe" and it'll stop automatically doing that:

to delete your current subscriptions, go to list subscriptions (also in your user cp) and there will be a box to check all threads, and select "delete subscription" from the drop-down menu:
