describe threads

I don't mean to be a party pooper here but I want to discuss the describe threads.

Bandwidth has always been an issue due to the huge number of people that use the forums Recently there have been times when the server was too busy to allow more people on and I think we have had a couple of crashes lately due to the problem as well. Sicy and Elvis please correct me if I am mistaken.

That leads me to my issue with the describe threads. While they were cute at first, enough is enough. We dont need a new thread every few days that has hundreds and hundreds of posts by just a few people. Especially if those threads are rather, shall I say, pointless. It really eats up a lot of space...dontcha think?

I'm sorry for stepping on toes here

Some people love the threads, some people hate them. It's a lose-lose situation either way. I believe it's been decided to just leave things as they are for now, unless someone becomes too abusive of it, I suppose.

We've had threads recently on this topic. Feel free to peruse them. I'm going to close this one, as I feel this topic has been exhausted for now.
