Another "good vibes please" thread...

I can't remember if I've done one of these before... I probably have. Ah well.

Anyway, my mother will be having surgery tomorrow, to remove one of her kidneys which has a tumour in it. She's had no symptoms, it was discovered pretty much by accident. The doctors are apparently very optimistic and confident that everything will be fine, it doesn't look like it's spread anywhere else. So there's probably no real need to worry, and things could easily be a lot worse, but I would still appreciate any good vibes you might want to send in her direction tomorrow.

I got a text from my brother (who lives closer and went into the hospital with her) this evening saying the surgery went well. Hoping for more details soon.

Whoops, left this a bit late. :reject:

Just an update ... Everything is continuing to go well, and the tests came back saying it was the lowest grade of cancer, so that's the best we could have hoped for. It looks like mum won't have to worry about having any more trouble with it, she just needs the usual checks every six months to a year for a while.
