Schwab Institutional will featuring rock star and philanthropist Bono as its keynote speaker for its annual IMPACT conference at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.


WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31


11:00am – 12:30pm Closing General Session
Featured Speaker: Bono, Musician and campaigner against AIDS and poverty in Africa.



He obviously won't be in Dublin the end of October...

I don't know about Vegas but I forgot to mention that he will also be in Boston on October, 16 to speak at a mortage banker convention. So our boy will have a very busy couple of weeks coming up.

edit: u2jesusgirl, I just saw that you came up with the Vegas info, thanks! I don't think Bono will be in Dublin much during October.

What is the date for the Keep A Child Alive ceremony in NYC? We gotta get all these dates straight...LOL!
 
Not sure if this may help but every time we have met Bono its been just after he has arrived at the studios between 1.30 and 3.
With us he came out within10 minutes of arriving every time.
When we met Adam it was much later after 8pm but I suppose it depends on who does the meet and greet.
I hope Wayne meets them wish him good luck from the Hull gang!
 
Lucky he goes to where people can meet him! When I was in TZ this summer he only came as far as Arusha and not to Dar, the loser.

I don't think there's any way for me to get a ticket to where he will be, but I know that he'll be within 100 miles of me :wink:
 
He's gonna call me again at 7pm when he's back in his hotel room, with all the news and updates and everything. Right now we're just texting back and forth, but tonight I'll have the full story. I hope he does indeed meet at least band member!!

Aww.... thankyou last unicorn! I know there is a window there where we might be there at the same time but even that is no guarantee so I won't hold my breath, but I sure hope it happens!
We are going to be there for 10 days but not in Dublin the whole time....I am praying for some of that Irish luck to kick in!!

I was driving down Strathmore Road in Killiney last night which brings you down to the gate of Bono's place. Lights from a car behind me which turned out to be a dark coloured Maserati Quattroporte. Drove across the road and through the gates. Couldn't make out anyone inside but it came up behing me pretty fast. Happened about 8.45pm
 
Yeah, I presumed it was his car alright. I'd seen pics of him in one before. It's an odd situation to be in when you look in your rear view mirror and say to yourself "There's Bono!" I presume he was in it anyway. Ali drives an old white VW Golf I think.
