Well, all I have to say on the subject of rap music is...

You can't spell "crap" without "rap".

cool

I'd suggest

I Will Follow
Out of Control
Gloria (live)
Sunday Bloody Sunday (live)
Like a Song
Bullet the Blue Sky (live)
The Fly (live)
Acrobat
Do You Feel Loved
LAPOE (live)

Mofo might be a bit much to start off with

yeah, those were just the ones that came to my mind...i wouldnt use too many though. if they dont like U2 in the first place, they're not likely to be patient enough to listen through like 16 songs.

I think you should put Until the End of the World on there.
Love that one.

oooh a cd of rock huh?
for my punk genre-d friends i made them a mix of rock/punk styles of U2..

and it turned out well. my friend turned out to love 'Last night on earth'. i tossed in a few songs from the Boy album too, and it seemed that those hit the spot too (one of them really likes Electric Co. and An Cat Dubh) .

Irishteen, if you don't have the live version of Exit I may be able to figure out how to put it on You Send It, for you. That way you could put it on the CD for your friend. Just gimme your email and we'll see if I can't figure it out.
I defianetly think that version of the song should be enough rock for him
