Moncton Blue Crack Extravaganza

I don't know what it will be, but we've really got to figure this out. There's a big contingent of us, and it's been suggested we meet up at the campground. But this presents us that aren't camping with a problem: we aren't allowed in.

Other suggestions people?!

I think there was a suggestion to meet at the McDonalds down the road. Need a time though.

Assuming all goes swimmingly today, we should be there late evening on Friday. What time are all you lining up at?

We could meet at the Pumphouse...which is a brewery for those with 12 year old gutter minds...like myself.

I am hoping to be there by 4pm Friday. We're in a motel with a chalk outline, I'm sure.

Plus, not everyone that is camping is staying at Concert Camping.

People not in concert camping can't get into the tented field and unless there are a load of cabs, which seems unlikely, people from concert camping or the other campsites may not be able to make it to downtown Moncton. So surely the only viable option is somewhere within walking distance from the camping? My guess would be the casino as it looks like it's only about a 1km walk. But someone with local knowledge may have a better idea?

The McDonalds is the closest, unless you meet at the Zoo or Magic Mountain (water park) The zoo is awesome btw. If you have some spare time, check it out

Across the road from Magic Mountain is another little amusement place. Go carts, driving range batting cages and the like.

Also, near the entrance for Magnetic Hill (also the entrance for Magic Mountain and the zoo) is a tourist village. It has a restaurant as well as several shops. That is the closest to the concert site.

Magnetic Hill

I vote for Pumphouse or the restaurant @ Magnetic Hill. But I guess I could get a soft-serve at McDonald's... Activities places (like the amusement park) might be less easy places to talk/get to know people?

Whatever is within reasonable walking distance from the campsite/venue gets my vote.

I will do my best to get there by Friday night. Considering how early my flight gets into Boston that morning, I am reasonably sure I will be up there by early evening at the latest.

I'm willing to drive and pick people up for the get-together. I'm going to double-check the drive and get our asses up there ASAFP so we can set-up our tent and hit the gathering.

Pumphouse? Wherever.

Maybe we should shout "Blue Crack" at the top of our lungs so we can find each other.

We are leaning toward a parking lot gathering Friday night at either Tim Horton's or McD's by Magnetic Hill.

What do people think?

It'll be walkable or parkable, we can grab food, and then sit and talk and drink.
