If my feet heal up in time, I'm planning on trying to get to these two lovely states sometime this August. What should I try to do if I'm coming from the Galveston area? Where in Misery is Rocky Ridge Farm?

My parents live in MissourAH, and I went to my last two years of high school there. You might check out the Lake of the Ozarks..quite pretty, we lived on it. If you're looking for Laura Ingalls Wilder stuff, head over to Mansfield. That's where Laura and Almanzo ended up settling and you can see the house and the museum with all the nifty stuff like Paul's fiddle and Mary's organ and Laura's lawn dress.

Yes, yes, yes! How far into the state is Mansfield? I know , I could go look on a map, but this is more entertaining.

I used to live in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mansfield is about 30 miles east of Springfield. MO if I remember correctly ( southwestern part of the state). Thats where all the Laura Ingalls stuff is. I'm a huge fan of her books, and always meant to go see that stuff when I lived there and never did.
