I still think the Best Western Mardi Gras has the best prices for the location...it's not on the strip, but it's only 1/2 mile off the strip, and they have a complimentary shuttle to the strip...it wouldn't even be that bad of a walk.

here's the prices for one room with one queen size bed...they said there was an additional charge of $8 per person per room in addition to these prices.

3/14/03 $65.00 USD
3/15/03 $65.00 USD
3/16/03 $45.00 USD
3/17/03 $45.00 USD

now that is what i am talking about. do you know if the shuttle will pick you up at the airport?

I believe that they do have a shuttle from the airport, but what they had that sold me was FREE BREAKFAST!

I am so bummed about missing Cleveland that this whole trip is really cheering me up!

nice. well this hotel deal just made this trip possible. :hyper: i have never been to vegas. i am looking at flying in on Sat night because i will be flying home from a business trip in NC on Friday night. so when i get to vegas i am going to the nearest bar and letting loose!

oh one more thing:

where is this deal at? do you have to call Best Western or can you book it online at their site?

sorry I forgot to put the website there...the website I got the prices that I posted were directly from the Best Western Mardi Gras website

http://www.mardigrasinn.com

this was also listed on the website:

All rooms feature:

Complimentary Continental Breakfast
Kitchenette with wetbar
In room coffee maker
Refrigerator
Direct dial telephones with data port & voice mail
Non-smoking rooms available
FREE Shuttle to the strip and airport.

It's really nice that the room has a kitchenette...we could possibly save money some of the time by just getting groceries and eating in some of the time.

eff this. spend some money. it's las vegas, for christ's sake. do yourself a favor, stay somewhere nice.

are you saying the Best Western Mardi Gras isn't nice? :uhoh:

it looked nice on the website.

maybe you could stop by and check it out for us :sexywink:

I've already had the luxury of staying in the nice hotels when I went to LV with my parents a couple years ago...unfortunately I cant afford the nice luxury hotels this time.....I'll be lucky to be able to afford this hotel and airfare and all the entertainment :tsk:

this marriott is not even in las vegas...it's in summerlin. summerlin is a golf course community with lots of million dollar homes. nice library, though. no matter where you decide to stay, downtown or the strip, you will have to have transportation to this show.

i know, i know, las vegas can be pricey. i just want everyone to enjoy themselves, and sometimes these off-the-beaten-path hotels can look just fine, but they turn out to be a nightmare...at least try to go with circus circus or one of the smaller, more well known hotels downtown, like the golden nugget. or one of the more reputable hotels, like one of the station hotels and casinos...i swear, if my place was bigger, you could all just stay here. i knew i should have bought a house last year...*frets* i could have hosted the first annual interference las vegas kegger barbeque...damn.

y'know, I just looked on the Circus Circus website, and prices don't look that bad ($99 for Friday nite, $99 for Saturday nite, $44 for Sunday nite, and $44 for Monday nite...rates increase by $12 for third person, and $12 for 4th person).

At first I didn't like the idea of staying at "Circus Circus" y'know, clowns and stuff *shudders*...but with those prices it might not be that bad, and may even be fun, and would sure beat walking 1/2 mile home from the strip after a day of walking around, or waiting for a shuttle or taxi in the middle of the nite...the only thing is, I looked on their calendar, and March 15 is blocked out for an arrival day...you'd have to arrive on March 14th, which for me isn't a problem cuz I was planning on that anyway.

Dropping out.

I am very sorry to all those whom I told that I was going to be able to come to Vegas. I am afraid that I am not going to be able to now. I don't want to just say that and not give a reason so here it is. I have not really told anyone about this but my grandfather who lives here in San Antonio (actually right outside the city in Poteet) has lung cancer. He was doing Kemo and what not and things were going as scheduled. Well I got a call from my grand mother telling me that on friday the had to call an ambulance to come and get him. He was having really bad pains in his hip and the morphine was not doing enough. Well turns out after the MRI that he has cancer on (or in I don't know) his hip. This has created coplications. They are going to stop kemo and have to do radation on his hip. Well When my mom found out about this she decided that she was going to take time off from work to come down. The only problem it that her car needs work before she should take a road trip here so I volunteered to come up there and get her and take her back when ever she leaves. Well all of this kinda hovers kind of close to the trip so I have decided to pull out of going. This is kinda a long explanation I know but I wanted you all to know that I really did want to go and I was not just punking out for some lame ass reason.

*warning-
i may make this shin-dig:angry:

thank u.

gheto-
sorry about your grandpa.

Gheto, I'm so sorry to hear that. :(

As for the hotels...well it's too late for me, I am booked in. Considering I have to pay $1.52 for each American $, I really have to watch my $$!

OK Iris you got me!! here I am... just reading the posts....lol

I hope to see you all out at our Vegas shows. I can promise you something different and special every night. I know most of you can't be there all 3 nights but even if you make it out to one I can promise you a good time.

See you in Vegas!!
