There is another Atlanta person on this board. He is from Dublin but is now living here in ATL.

Hey, I'm from Dublin and now live in Atlanta. Where are you from in Dublin???

Incase you did not know and are interested. The venue for the Snow Patrol concert has changed from the Roxy to the Tabernacle for the May 26th show. Tickets are going on sale I believe today for it.

By the way, I have an extra ticket for the concert if anyone is interested.

For all of y'all ATL-ians that aren't being tortured by relatives this weekend (like me), the U2 tribute band "Desire" is playing at the Dunwoody Beer Festival. If I were able, I'd sooo go. If I have to wait until November to see U2, I'd like a tribute band tide me over. Why can't they be playing in Athens?

Here's the info from the 99x page:

Where: Dunwoody Beer Festival Site
When: 5/7/2005
Price: $17 adv. Freeloaders/$25 non-Freeloaders
Info: THIS IS A 21 AND OLDER EVENT. The party starts at 2pm and features over 150 beers, malt beverages and liquors from all over the world....music kicks off at 4:30pm.

Uh, what the heck!? I had to scroll down the page to get to this thread...
You people with your busy lives...

Bono in the ATL alert!!!!

Got this in my email from the atu2 yahoo mailing list:

CNN may have lost some ground to Fox News Channel in the ratings, but
the cable-news pioneer can still turn out the dignitaries.

Ted Turner's favorite toy turns 25 today, having grown from a reach of
fewer than 2 million households in 1980 to 89 million today.

Appearing at a three-day conference at CNN's Atlanta headquarters are
the presidents of Iraq, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Indonesia; former
President Jimmy Carter; Bono; and Ricky Martin.
Hall and Oates will
headline the entertainment (a bit of a drop-down in the "cool"
department from Bono, it seems).

This week's "Larry King Live" lineup includes Vice President Cheney
and his wife, Lynne; former President George and Barbara Bush; former
President Bill Clinton; and Dan Rather.

Tonight, the network will air a special on the top 25 defining moments
over its history. The order has not been revealed, but the list
includes the space shuttle disasters, the massacre at Tiananmen
Square, Sept. 11, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Monica Lewinsky
scandal, Princess Diana's death and the recent tsunami, to name a few.

Anybody know when this conference is?
