Hey Party Boy,

Thanks for the interest. I think a few of the GTA group were talking about going, although being a Thursday night, it is tough for those working Fridays (me included!).

We are actually doing 2 very short sets (4 songs each set) and the management wants the upbeat greatest hits type stuff to keep the college kids into it (the average age at this club is 19...lol...)

We'd love to have you come out...but I want you to have all the info ahead of time...we do sets 11:30-11:50 and 12:40-1:00ish...

If you have never seen us before, I would highly recommend Healey's on February 24th in downtown Toronto, where we will be doing 2 longer sets and many of the songs will be deeper album cuts.

Cheers,
Brady

Thanks Brady for the info. Based on what you've said (mostly being surrounded by 19 year olds!) I might hold out until Feb 24th as it would probably be more fun (nothing against the upbeat greatist hits stuff!).

Hope the gigs go well!

A question for you Bradyvox...do you have your own sound man or do the clubs you play provide someone for you?

In Brady's absence I'll answer: we don't have our own sound man, or need him/her really, the venue always supplies this person.

I saw you guys perform last summer. I thought you sounded awesome until the end of the evening when the sound got extremely loud and distorted. We had to leave. It was a shame because I was really looking forward to your finale.

Told all my pals though and plan to check you guys out again.

Hey ulove2,

Was that at the Canadian National Exhibition?

Most sound guys get it right, but there are occasions where they don't give us a great mix or crank things too loud - sorry you had to experience that...

Here are some samples of a recent show we did in Vancouver where the sound guys got it right and were kind enough to make a soundboard recording for us...

Acutally it was in Barrie, everything up until the middle of the second set was flawless. We were thinking may the sound guy was having a little to much to drink.

Hopefully I will be able hear the whole set this time.

ahhh...that makes sense...

It always sounds amazing there the first set - then the soundguy gets into the whiskey and by the 2nd set set he randomly starts turning stuff up - it is a shame because it is a great sounding room...we have tried telling him but he has done sound there for 10+ years and the club uses him exclusively...we actually called him on it last time and he said he didn't touch a thing between sets...which is BS....

Cheers,

Brady

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll go easy on the sauce this time round.

Hi, ulove2 - it sounds like you were planning to come to Barrie...unfortunately we have had to cancel the show due to illness - unfortunate because we really wanted to do it...hope you get this in time....

Cheers,
Brady
