The African Well Fund is once again participating in the Be the Cause: Walk for Hope event at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, California. The sixth annual walk takes place from 9 to 1 on Saturday, September 22nd.
The Walk for Hope takes place along a three mile course decorated with inspirational quotes hand-made by volunteers. The course will also feature interactive activities. Walkers can raise money for AWF either by walking on behalf of the organization or by joining one of our teams on the event's registration page.
If you can't attend the event, you can sponsor a registered walker by clicking here.
AWF will also be hosting a booth at the event to spread the word about our work and to meet new volunteers and supporters. Many other charities and community organizations will also be hosting booths and there will be entertainment throughout the day.
The event is free but parking at El Dorado Park is $6. All participants will get a free shirt and snacks. Dogs are also welcomed to take part in the walk.
