Annual Joshua Tree road trip in January. (Gathering) Part II

I haven't made my flight arrangements yet I still can't figure out where I'm staying - I hate making people pick me up / drop me off / drive me around so I'm trying to make sure it's easiest on everyone and I really want to try to at least see (if I"m not staying with her) my friend who lives in Ontario/Chino. I was freaking out a little this weekend and usually Mr. Z is really good a saying "Why don't you just do this?" and making it all work but he had no suggestions!

Maybe I'll call you this week and we can chat.

My office is a stone's throw from the Ontario Airport. If you're staying in Ontario or in the surrounding area it wouldn't be a problem to help out if you need to be picked up or dropped off at the airport.

Right now, I'll use any excuse to get out of the office for a moment.

I was wondering if anyone though of all of us renting a van or something? I know that there was talk about it in the begining but thats all. Is there a bus/van we can rent?

There are eight car rental places at the Ontario Airport, if we decide to go that route. A minivan or SUV would hold between five and eight people and right now we have:

That's 10+ people. I think that bonocomet and family will want to drive themselves since they'll be heading back to San Diego at the end of the night, so maybe the rest of us could get into one or two larger vehicles. Thoughts?

It's more or less where the 190 and 127 meet, which is a ways south of Death Valley. There was some slight navigating to do, but I think it was mostly just following signs to the "town" of Death Valley Junction. Take an AAA map with you.
