This. And depending on which weatherman you listen to, snow level locally is supposed to be at the 3500 - 4000 foot level, which means you may have snow through Cajon Pass. Be careful, lots of accidents occur in the pass under these conditions. :twocents:

:uhoh: are we talking snow chains snow? I don't think we're prepared for that.

Hopefully not. But just be aware that it's a possibility. The last couple of storms brought the chains required level down fairly low, but chains were never required through the pass - they either closed it down or provided police escorts. The fog can get insanely thick as well. The majority of the storm is supposed to happen overnight, so by morning it should be pretty clear on the conditions through the pass.

Here's one resource, it doesn't always get updated immediately but it helps:

I'm usually pretty aware of the conditions and have some alternate resources so if anyone has Interference access on their phone I'll try to post an update tomorrow morning (as long as I'm up early )

good info thanks.

Beautiful and sunny and clear here - I'm on my way to the airport here in a few minutes and I'll try to bring the weather with me...

"Every where you go, always take the weather with you..."

So to be clear, the meeting spot is Mels diner near Ontario mills? I don't want to show up at the wrong location and be a :nerd: "where IS everyone??"

Ok cool. I'm about an hour from there so it's going to be weird getting up earlier than I normally would on a workday. :crack:

I also live an hour away AND I get off work at 6am. It's going to be (another) long day for me as well.

When I first brought up the rain issue I wasn't concerned about the rain itself. I'm thinking about the possible damage us traipsing through the soggy desert landscape can cause. :sigh:

:ohmy:Oh man, eat a big breakfast so you can pass out on the ride over.
I'm definitely bringing extra socks, jeans, and chones in case I fall flat on my ass in some mud

I brought my laptop to work today and my employees were looking at my pictures from last year's trip and the 360 tour. A couple of them want phone numbers from you ladies

I gotta drive home from work now, but I might want something... be back here a little later, unless it's too late don't worry about it.

Desert sky
Dream beneath a desert sky
The rivers run but soon run dry
We need new dreams tonight

Desert rose
Dreamed I saw a desert rose
Dress torn in ribbons and in bows
Like a siren she calls to me

Sleep comes like a drug
In God's Country
Sad eyes, crooked crosses
In God's Country...
