The full length video for the re-recording of the Band Aid 20 single ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ has just been made available online on a pay per view basis to watch for the first time. The video includes footage taken of the all-star band (including Chris Martin, Justin and Dan Hawkins, Paul McCartney, Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Danny Goffey, Fran Healy and Bono) recording the track in Air and Maison Rouge Studios in London.

The video costs £1.00 per stream or £2.50 for a permanent download and all proceeds go to the charity so watching the video will directly save lives.

It’s also been announced that the official download of the audio for the single itself has set a record as fastest-ever rush-release from studio to fans. The recording of the track was completed on Sunday afternoon (November 14), the label copy and artwork finalised on the following Monday, and the track digitally delivered to retail on Tuesday. The result was available for music fans to buy as a download from Thursday (November 18).

The Band Aid 20 track can be downloaded for £1.49 and the B-side - the 1984 recording - can be downloaded for £0.99. A special bundle of the two tracks can also be bought online for £1.99.

The original Band Aid version of 'Do They Know It’s Christmas?' was recorded in London on November 25 1984, and rush-released as a seven-inch vinyl single on December 7. It entered the U.K. chart at No. 1 on December 15, and stayed there for five weeks, selling more than three million copies.

The new recording will go on sale as a CD single though Mercury Records on Monday November 29.
