To celebrate the forthcoming release of U2's "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb," hotpress.com has launched a U2 microsite, complete with new and archived articles about our favorite Irish band. Highlighted on the U2 site's welcome page is a review of HTDAAB by Hot Press staffer Peter Murphy and a chance to win an autographed copy of "U2 File," Hot Presses out-of-print retrospective on U2's early years.

By the way, just for reference, I dipped into their archives and saw that Niall Stokes gave Achtung Baby 10/12 in his original review. Mathematically, Atomic Bomb comes out ahead. Good news!

They used that scale for years. I'm not sure what the rationale was, but they've now switched to a 10 point scale.
