U2 Urges Fans To 'Hunt The Lyric' For Hawaii Trip

U2 will on Monday (Oct. 23) launch an Internet scavenger hunt, with an all-expenses paid trip to Hawaii to see the final show of the band's Vertigo tour as the grand prize. For "Hunt the Lyric," fans will have two weeks to find U2 lyric snippets on a host of Web sites based on clues to be posted on U2.com.
Each excerpt will feature a highlighted letter; once collected in full, these letters will be used to answer a question. The winner will be announced on Nov. 6. As previously reported, Vertigo will wrap Dec. 9 in Honolulu with a support slot from Pearl Jam.
Meanwhile, a Chris Milk-directed video for the U2/Green Day collaboration "The Saints Are Coming" is expected to arrive in the coming days. The track will appear on the upcoming collection "U218 Singles," due Nov. 21 via Interscope.
A second new song, "Window on the Sky," is tipped to hit U.S. rock radio in early November, accompanied by a music video.
