Exclusive film clip and interview: Lian Lunson, director of ‘Leonard Cohen, I’m Your Man’.
Lian Lunson is the director of ‘Leonard Cohen, I’m Your Man’, which received its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. The film features 13 classic Leonard Cohen songs performed by a stellar list of fans including I'm Your Man by Nick Cave, Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright and Death of a Ladies Man by Beth Orton and Jarvis Cocker. U2 feature in a performance with Cohen of Tower Of Song in a New York bar. Interwoven with the performances is an intimate interview with the Montreal-born songwriter about his life and work. ‘I would not know how high to jump or how far I was falling without Leonard Cohen.’ said Bono, speaking at the premiere.
U2.Com spoke to Lian while she was on the road with U2 in Toronto, where she also showed up with a film crew on stage a couple of times to shoot a performance of Fast Cars.
