(RED) Extends to the U.S.

NEW YORK: RED, a branding effort advocated by the musician Bono, is to appear in Gap, Armani Exchange and Motorola stores in the United States this month.

Those companies, along with Converse and American Express, have created product lines that they are committed to for at least five years, and they plan to donate a portion of their profits to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

RED products, including a version of the popular Razr cellphone by Motorola, have been in stores in Britain since February, and the share of profits that has gone to The Global Fund passed the $10 million mark last month, said Richard Feachem, who is the executive director of The Global Fund.

Great news! Canada can't be far behind then!
 Thanks for sharing!

A big hats off to the UK RED campaign for hitting the $10mil mark too! Way to go fans!

I can't wait to get my RED Gap tees and my RED Moto!

does anyone know the exact launch date for gap to have the clothes?

Gap Red will be in stores beginning 10/13.

About 200 stores will carry the full line but all Gap stores will have some items available.

50% of profits from the sales of all Gap Red products will go the The Global Fund.

Can't wait to shop on the 13th!
