10 Free Screenings at IFI Open Day
Ten films will be screened at the Irish Film Institute's 12th Open Day which will take place on Saturday 18 September.
The annual day-long free event celebrates cinema culture in Ireland and the various facets of the IFI.
This year the Institute is to screen ten films that celebrate music by documenting behind the scenes touring, lampooning rockstars, honouring the art of orchestration and accentuating the importance of a soundtrack.
The films to be shown include 'This is Spinal Tap', 'U2 - Rattle and Hum', 'Grosse Pointe Blank' and 'Cabaret'.
All screenings are free and tickets, limited to two per person per film, can only be collected on the day.
The box-office will open at 10am and tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
