My Chemical Romance to Open for U2?


Orlando radio station O-ROCK 105.9 is claiming on air and on its website that New Jersey's favorite goth-emo sons My Chemical Romance will be opening for U2 in Tampa on November 16th. MCR's own website does not state this, however, no gig information is available for that date.

Wow. Just listened to the Amazon sampler of their music trying to give them a chance but it looks like they might top Smash Mouth for worst opening band for me.
Hopefully, they'll only do the Tampa show and Atlanta will get someone else. :fingerscrossed:

I hope its not for the Miami shows. I saw them open up for Green Day in April, and boy did they suck!! The lead singer was either screaming (not what I call "singing") or cursing everytime he opened his mouth. The lead singer is 3rd rate rip off of Jack White.
