Sunday in Calendar: With U2

This Sunday (Aug. 8) the Los Angeles Times is running music critic, and longtime U2 supporter, Robert Hilburn's feature on U2's writing process. The promo for the article in today's Calendar section says:

"It usually starts with an idea from Bono or the Edge, but it's not finished until everyone puts his stamp on it. Robert Hilburn looks at how U2 writes its music."

Sounds like a great article to whet our appetites for the next album, and a nice way to mark Edge's 43rd birthday, so be sure to check it out. For those of you outside So. Cal, visit www.latimes.com to read the article. We will also post the article as soon as we can on Sunday.

I just read this article on the latimes.com website. It's very, very good.
What is even more amazing is the Flash presentation that accompanies the article. GREAT GREAT pictures. One in particular, I'd never seen it before...Bono standing in front of a wall, most likely at Hanover Quay, in front of lots of messages from fans. It looks like it was taken in the late '80s. Beautiful, just beautiful.

What a great present for us U2 fans on Edge's birthday!!!
