U2 Concert Causes Traffic Headache for French Airport
NICE, France (AFP) - A U2 concert taking place Friday is likely to cause fierce road traffic problems around Nice airport, currently bringing thousands of vacationers to and from the French Riviera, officials said.
"The Nice-Cote d'Azur Airport advises passengers and those accompanying them that there will be major delays accessing the Nice facility from 1:00 pm (1100 GMT) Friday August 5," the airport said in a statement Thursday.
More than 50,000 fans of the Irish rock band are expected to converge at a venue near the airport, forcing police to close several roads in the area.
