Alicia Keys Gets VIP Crowd in Dublin

Alicia Keys may have wowed fans across the globe with her initial offering Sons In A Minor but who would have thought that Bono and The Corrs would be amongst the revelers at her Olympia gig.

Born and raised in Harlem, New York, Alicia Keys was recognised as a musical prodigy at the tender age of 5, but who could have imagined that by the age of 19 she would be a household name across the globe.

Now at the age of 23 she is seen as an accomplished artist and not only by her legions of fans but by music industry veterans such as Bono and Paul Brady.

When the New Yorker played The Olympia Theatre at the weekend ShowBiz Ireland was suprised to see the likes of Bono, Jim Corr, Paul Brady and Keith Duffy amongst the sellout crowd.

Ironically an artist twice her age and with far more hit records Sheryl Crow was playing across the river in The Point - but her audience was far less distinguished.

In defence of older women.

Sheryl Crow IS NOT twice Alica Keys age.

Lets do the math. Twice Alica's age is 46 and Sheryl is only 42.

ShowBiz Ireland gets it wrong - again :madspit:

Thanks, I feel better now.
