Grammys Staying in LA

Though it's still eight months away, you can already pencil the Grammy Awards in your calendar. E! Online is reporting that the awards ceremony will take place Feb. 8 at Los Angeles' Staples Center, returning to a Wednesday slot after airing on Sunday for the last three years.

"How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" as well as the three singles and videos U2 has released since "Vertigo" are eligible for nominations. Nominations will be announced on December 7, according to the Recording Academy.

Expect an avalance of Grammys next year
HTDAAB-best rock album & album of the year
SYCMOYO-Record of the year & Song of the year
All Because of You or Miracle Drug-best rock song
City of Blinding Lights-best rock performance by a duo or group with vocal
Original of the Species-best pop performance by a duo or group with vocal

So 7 more grammys could put the list up to 24
wow!

Too early to say.... that would be kickass though....

Where do the boys rank with grammy's all-time? I'm pretty sure they hold the record for a group and I know they're ahead of Jacko. Heck, you could take the Beatles as a group, add all of their solo performances, and add in Wings and the Plastic Ono Band for good measure, and U2 still carries the day. I just wonder if there is another individual that exceeds the 17 grammys.
