Brazilian Fans Fundraising for Bono's Birthday
Brazilian U2 fan site Ultraviolet-U2 is sponsoring a fundraising drive in honor of Bono's upcoming birthday to benefit GRAAC, an organization that helps children with cancer. The drive began on April 28th and will run through May 10th.
Ana Vitti, moderator with the site, said the following about the fundraiser: "This year for Bono's birthday we decided to have a fundraiser where Brazilian fans could help a Brazilian cause [because] there are too many people here in need."
Brazilian fans can donate to the cause via GRAAC's account with Banco Bradesco. Fans are asked to tack on 82 cents to each donation so the funds can be traced to this drive.
