I've been a U2 fan for about a year (my profile lies, it says 2009), and the story goes something like this:
I was home sick from school, and I was bored, so I went downstairs to our family collection of CDs and found U2's Best of 1980-1990. Went back upstairs and spent the rest of the day listening to the B-sides alone. And that is how I became a U2 fan.
I'm looking for any other teenage U2 fans, as there are very few of us in Indiana that I know of. Also wondering if there are any Nerdfighter U2 fans out there.
