Hi,
It all started when I saw Bono, back in the day, on MTV...
I am happy in my obsession. It is great to find this community of people who will understand. I get so tired of trying to explain the U2 experience to those who just don't get it.
I took my Mom (age 70), and my niece (age 19) to their first U2 concert in Milwaukee this tour. They had a blast. I went to NYC on the spur of the moment and was part of MSG 2. Now I just booked my flight to Boston for Dec. 4 -- just need a ticket!
By day I work as a school librarian with Early Childhood -- Fifth graders. I try to encourage kids to dream big and think outside of the box.
Well, thanks for giving us a place to enjoy each other and U2!

welcome, karmabono!

And for those who will be a bit too active in their thinking - this is not me.

Although my name is Debbie and I'm from Wisconsin and I work with young children.

Small world, isn't it?

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcome!
I have spent many an hour just reading your posts. What a great group of people gather here!
Love & Peace

Still looking for a Boston Dec. 4 ticket

Do you think U2 could use a tour librarian or two?
Storytime for the kids. Research and reference for all.
We know Bono is very well read...
Maybe a book club?

Hope to see you in Boston!

Wow!! Wish I knew what school you teach at!! I'm a teacher also but I cant't afford a ticket to Madison Square Garden!! I mean, if I'm gonna go see the guys I want them to be able to see me, too!! I checked on line for ticket prices when they were at the Garden in Mid October and for orchestra seats...$2700.00 each!! For that price I could buy a plane ticket to Dublin and camp out in Larry's backyard!! Don't know how comfortable he'd be with that, though!! LOL!! The same is true price wise for next weeks shows at the Garden. I live in Brooklyn, NY, by the way, that's why I keep going on about MSG....Oh well maybe next tour...sigh...

Hi ALass4Larry!
You need to check out for face & TM charges tickets! That is how I got my MSG 2 ticket. They usually sell tickets at the MSG box office on the day of show. I heard the line got a little rough last time -- I hope they work something out to keep the fans safe.
I work for the Racine Unified School District -- and we are in dire financial times. Many librarians have been assigned to two schools instead of one school full time. We are in danger of being cut from the budget next school year -- as are the othere specialists. We need to go to the voters again this spring and ask for more money. It is very depressing. This is why U2 has become my obsession of late.
I am lucky to have cousins who live in Manhattan and I could stay with them.
What do you teach?
