Hi! I’m another refugee from @u2. I’ve been a fan since POP and love the sound of the new material! I’m from Bath UK.

I don’t want to moan about @u2 as moaning was essentially its forum’s downfall, but when they banned anyone from discussing politics it wasn’t a good sign for me. I’m not extreme left or right but U2 are a political band, it just seems part of the whole appeal to me. I guess some of the comments jus got too heated after Trump came in; maybe it’s for the best if they cool off and stick to the (excellent!) news reporting.

Agree it's odd to have a U2 forum without politics. I remember getting my U2 tapes in the 80s/90s and reading the liner word for word. You'd get to the end and there'd be the amnesty stuff, the greenpeace stuff. U2 introduced me to these organizations.
U2 are political.
