I´ve found myself reading this forum over the last 2 months after Googling for U2 info, and this site always delivers great info.
I´ve been a ootoo fan for over 25 years and my first memory of U2 was at 12 or 13 waiting outside HMV in Birmingham UK to buy a gatefold 7" vinyl of Desire. I didnñt really know the band at the time, but my Mad Irish friend was going nuts so I went along with him and bought the single.
I remember the guys from HMV producing the single from below the counter as though it was contraband, due to the limited numbers, so I was fascinated by this.
Played the single, bought R&H and loved the band since.
I saw them this year in San Sebastian, with my wife and 5 and 10 year old daughters, now my 5 year old keeps asking me about oootoo a lot, and I hope she grows up loving their music like I dug the Stones and Beatles when I was a kid.
Anyway, long intro but thanks for the info you´ve given me over the past couple of months and hopefully I can contribute to the community.
