Japan : # 81 with 2,381 (last week # 98 with 1,987) - total now = 247,830 (but with 45 weeks missing).

How many copies could have sold bomb in that 45 weeks?
Is it possible 20.000 (is less than 500 per week) or is it too optimistic?

In Italy HTDAAB goes out again from top 100 album chart.
Updated chart run:

HTDAAB:

No bomb in top #40 New Zeland!

Surprising drop in the US but Kelly Clarkson dropped, Mariah dropped big, Green Day dropped, John Legend dropped big, Coldplay dropped. The post grammy boost is wearing out quickly, but remember that HTDAAB wasn't even in the top 200 when it won those awards. It has been out for like a year and 3 or 4 months, so we shouldn't expect that the grammys were going to have a huge impact.

It is shocking how much Train's album is flopping and how Barry Manilow has stayed at the top of the charts although he dropped big this week. I am also surprised at how Bon Jovi just keeps trucking along.

I think # 300 is usually about 600-700 so, yes, i think 20k is a good estimate.

Week 66 is the correct week for that week though : in Japan it was released a week earlier so Week 67 should now already be in (anyone know the result yet ?).

In the UK OOTS actually goes way back up 29 spots to # 54 on the top 100 airplay chart !

Also, artist album sales went down 17.5% so Bomb probably would have sold around 900. So it's approx UK total is now 1,209,000.

From Billboard:

HTDAAB comes in at 17(5) on the Top 25 Internet Album Sales Chart
Best of 1980-90 at 36(27) on the Top 50 Pop Catalog Chart

It is pretty amazing that here we are in the 3rd calendar year after HTDAAB was released, and just like with ATYCLB, the album is still in the BB Top 100 due to an avalanche of Grammy Awards. The academy may be making up for past sins, especially snubbing AB, but I still think U2 is putting out the best music around these days, and HTDAAB is going to stay as one of my favorite all-time albums.

Germany:

98 / 60 / U2 / How To DismantleAn Atomic Bomb

Airplay Charts:

119 / - / U2 / Original Of The Species

Formatcharts - Mainstream Top 50:

31 / 46 / U2 / Original Of the Species
