Bomb #63 (#49)

My prediction that bomb's was gonna hold its position in the top100 in netherlands with the release of ABOY didn't come true. I was not expecting THIS.

I think the only way Bomb, will re-enter the chart is if there is a tv advertising campaign, I said a couple of weeks ago ABOY was unlikely to bump the Bomb back into the chart,& I hate to say I told you so, but...

Great performance for ABOY in the UK...4 consecutive top 4 hits off a U2 album in the UK...totally unprecedented !! well done people :applaud: but just what the hell has happened to HTDAAB ?

Italy: HTDAAB 97 (61).

Wow, thats a really big drop in Italy. Is the chart of 100 positions or 200 positions? If its just 100, then I guess HTDAAB will likely drop out of the charts in Italy next week.

Well, amazingly, the success of ABOY still can't help HTDAAB re-enter the top 200 in the UK this week ...at least Best Of 80-90, Vertigo & COBL continue to sell well. Plus Sometimes re-enters :

BO 80-90 # 162 (# 162)

Singles :
Vertigo # 168 (# 161)
COBL # 206 (# 207)

Today I saw some more figures from the Dutch chart. Popromancer already posted the most important results (#63 for the album and #12 and #6 on 2 Dutch single charts). Now I also found the figures for the sales-only chart (the other 2 take into account radio/video play). In the Singles 100 the song debuts at #4 as the highest new entry! So in that sense it's another top 10 hit for U2. I believe this is the first time since The Joshua Tree that all their singles of one album have reached the top 10!

Sadly, All Because Of You already dropped out of the Download Top 50, but that chart still seems very volatile as it has just started. However, on that chart there is a U2 song charting: With Or Without You. It has been on that chart for as long as it exists, which is 4 weeks. Here is its chart run (1-10-2005):
32-38-38-33

C ya!

Thats cool news from Holland - thx Popmartijn

Also over at UKMIX.com Hanboo has the new US Year To Date 2005 album sales figures. HTDAAB has now sold 721,000 in 2005. So add that to the 2,156,000 i believe it sold in 2004 & the overall US figure is now 2,877,000

Looks like the BOMB's average since week 39 when it dropped off the Billboard 200 has been above 4,000 copies per week which is good. In 5 weeks it should be at 2.9 million.
