Europe Top 100 Albums from Billboard

Wow, HTDAAB rises 16 positions to re-enter the Top 20 on Billboards Top 100 Albums in Europe, coming in at #17 this week!

COBL drops from 7 to 16, however, on the Billboard Top 100 Singles in Europe.

Given the album rise, perhaps HTDAAB can break back into the Top 30 on the Global Album chart...I'll say 29. It all depends on the # of debuts and it should be noted that album sales were up quite a bit last week across the board.

Very good news in Germany.
The bomb is at #37 this week!
Yes that's a jump of 49 positions!
COBL debuts at #24
I estimate sales this week at 55k and definitely in top 30 of Mediatraffic.

goooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

very good for the bomb!

it isn't impossible a re-enter in the top 30 of mediatraffic!!!!!

Well in the week that HTDAAB sold 60k it was number 18 on mediatraffic. The week after I estimated it sold 52k and it was number 23. Album sales have picked up lately but with about 55k sold (my guess) it should be up around number 25 still.

I think that the sales will be higher than 55k.

Well, well...# 17 in Europe & 49 place rise in Germany...this really is impressive!! 50K+ at mediatraffic now seems quite likely.

The main reason for this must be the tour : so, the question is, why do the European gigs increase sales of Bomb in Europe so much more than the US gigs did on US sales?

More great chart results :

Belgium / Flanders (& this IS the correct week if you exclude 1st street violation week) :

Bomb : # 6 (#8)
BO 80-90 : # 32 (RE, 61 wks on chart, 3xPlat)
BO 90-20 : # 47 (RE, 36 wks, 1xPlat)
COBL : # 32 (NE)

ps - will be interesting to see how the Wallonie chart compares next week...

...ok, I just also found the Wallonie / Belgium chart (for THIS week) & it's also v.good for HTDAAB but no back catalogue in top 50 :

Bomb : # 11 (# 17)
COBL : # 23 (NE)

So, with Bomb also at # 6 on Flanders chart we can confidently say that it has re-entered the overall Belgium top 10 album chart (I would say about # 8) - great stuff!!

Also, Bomb is certified Platinum on both charts so maybe (?) it is 2xPlatinum in whole of Belgium. Regardless of this, I would estimate that Bomb has now sold around 90,000 in whole of Belgium.

:)

Mediatraffic has been updated and HTDAAB is at #33. But before you all say "what? thats too low" this week was a fairly high sales week, and sales would still be roughly 55k.
X & Y sold 843,000 copies
Foo Fighters new disc 621,000
Backstreet Boys 490,000
Black Eyed Peas 301,000

City Of Blinding Lights had the biggest points increase for singles and jumps from no. 40 to no. 25

Zoovation: I don't think there were any other U2 albums on Germany chart.

Yeah, must have been a big week for sales - 19 albums out of 40 increased their sales on mediatraffic chart & the # 39 (The Very Best of ELO) sold 53K in UK alone.

So, I'll agree with you, ChargedVT, & say Bomb sold about 55K at Mediatraffic - so, my estimated sales for last 8 weeks of Bomb at Mediatraffic :

7411M + 55K (w.24) + 54K (w.25) + 48K (w.26) + 40K (w.27) + 37K (w.28) + 35K (w.29) + 36K (w.30) + 55K (w.31) = * 7771M

* this months Q magazine says HTDAAB has sold 9M & this months Mojo magazine says it's sold 10M.

Well, I think that HTDAAB has sold this week more than 55.000 copies. I Thinl that we're very close to 60.000 copies.
In fact, let's have a look to the Mediatraffic WC:
At n. 37 (and so, behind U2...) we've got Keith Urban's "Be here", that has sold only in USA 57.842 copies; I know that there won't more other copies sold in the rest of the world (even if is n. 27 in Canada), but this number means that HTDAAB has sold (at least) 58.000 copies.
Or not?

Yes, Bomb might well have sold 60K based on this info...if only they would hurry up & update the all-time chart!

Sometimes you can't make it on your own #30 (#27) week 20

So that's the third single from HTDAAB at number 2 in the Dutch chart!! That's amazing!
