The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
NLOTH: #20
U218: #31
JT: #52
R+H: #140
AB: #157

With or without you: #129
IGCIIDGCT: #137

Good, hopefully CT provides it enough momentum to hang on a bit after the tour leaves the UK, although I doubt it will.

last week NLOTH's UK sales i thought were low (although tidy chart position) when considered the amount of people that were played to in wembley alone 160-170k, yet they can only sell 5,000 or so copies of NLOTH. Beyonces albums shot up the charts recently due to hit single, a few extra radio spins obviously generates more sales then playing to hundreds of thousands of fans / casual fans.

It still may do, tomorrow IMO is a massive day for the band in terms of promoting the album,

as for itunes how many above it are compilations? its good to see it hasnt dropped out of the top 30!

up to #16 on amazon uk. surprised no 18 singles on amazon top 100.
#24 on iTunes, crazy 2night EP is at #38 on the albums and 18 singles at 48.

bon jovis crossroads (greatest hits) at #49, are they currently touring?

City of Blinding Lights is a modern day classic live U2 track simply bloody amazing!

in Ireland

NLOTH: 16 (11)
U218: 26 (18)

Pretty disappointing compared to how other Irish bands are doing, The Script who supported U2 are Croke Park are 1 (1) after 54 weeks

Uk:
No line 20 (21)
u218 28 (30)

slightly disapointing. but i guess its peaked equally over 2 weeks, HTDAAB after vertigo tour was #17 but only for one week, not sure how fast that dropped. would hope to see NLOTH top 30 next week and U2:18 at top 40.

It did drop 4 spots...but was also designated as being one of the albums with "the greatest gains in airplay and sales this week" on Billboard's new format. Crazy updated in the other thread.

Interesting to see it drop on the charts, but be a "greatest gainer". I wish we had actual sales info. for the last few week. If anyone has it for Weeks 24 and 25, please post! :applaud:

With only 17 weeks left in the year, it appears the biggest selling album for 2009 will sell less than 4.5 million copies. NLOTH still is likely to finish at #2 for the year and is even more likely to be the BEST SELLING ALBUM RELEASED IN 2009 AT THE END OF THE YEAR!
