I'm not sure, I don't know exactly which days are reported on the other charts list. But I think we'll still see U2 in the thop 40 list this weekend ;)

Bonus info: No Line was voted BEST album of 2009 so far on Radio 2 in NL this weekend! Beating Dylan, Bruce and a load of local artists. I'm not entirely sure who did the voting, but it sounded like a bunch of DJ's and music critics.

It seems the Netherlands still loves U2!!! I wonder if the band will re-enter the top 3 when the tour arrives. By that time sales for MJ will be a bit lower then.:applaud:

looks like a good showing by U2. i haven't been following the numbers because i really don't care that much. but it's good to see them still selling over 3 million albums considering the struggling music business and economy.

And what about ATYCLB? Did it make the Top Ten for 2001?
As for NLOTH, even if it is not outsold by any new album to be released before next November, it doesn´t look like it will be able to make the Top 10 this year.

As for NLOTH, even if it is not outsold by any new album to be released before next November, it doesn´t look like it will be able to make the Top 10 this year.

ATYCLB had too many of its initial weeks counted in the year 2000, preventing it from making the top 10 in 2001.

NLOTH probably will not make the top 10 for the Billboard Year which ends in November, but it still has a chance to make the soundscan top 10 who's year runs from January 1 to December 31. On that chart its at #6 for the year at this point.

Thanks for the info abouth ATYCLB Maoil. That´s what I thought. And yes, I was referring to the Billboard chart. NLOTH certainly has a chance on the soundscan top 10. As for the worldwide chart, there´s no way at this point that the album misses the top 10. The question is whether it will make the top 5. If it weren't for Lady Gaga the album would also have a chance to finish at #1

so, lady gaga to have biggest selling album of 2009? i wouldnt bet against one of the michael jackson albums at the moment. hes certainly going to be the biggest selling albums artist of the year, to likely take that away from U2.

he has 3 albums notching up 400k+ a week at the moment, obviously people still do buy albums.
