Sold around 7k in UK & now certified 2xPlatinum (U2's 40th BPI Platinum album award in total).

Btw, Windows has dropped over 40 places right out of the airplay top 50 - unbelievable! I'm sure this is the main reason for the 9 place drop...& next week could well be even worse as lots of new albums are being released. Can't really complain though. I mean it's done what was intended : sell shit loads in the biggest last 6 weeks of 2006.

Never before that much in one week on sales & i'm pretty certain never before that much on airplay either. If anything they usually stay around for longer on airplay (especially if they go to # 1!).

once radio1 and radio2 drop a song from their A-lists, its going to have a massive effect on overall uk airplay. im surprised how quickly radio1 removed it after it was released as a single. but then i guess it was around for a long time before its release.

BPI site is out of date on loads of its certs. MusicWeek & ChartsPlus both now show the 2xP cert. It was awarded during week ending 26th Jan 2007 - week 9 - but actually showed up in week 10 (this week).
