Hello to the folks who lurk on this forum. I've been away for a while...no big deal, just kinda had to "dream it all up again", you know...
Anyway, been out of chart watching for a while when I actually read through the Billboard magazine that STILL comes to my house every week, years after I have ever subscribed to BB in any capacity.
Anyway, browsing through the "Hits of the World" section at the back of the magazine shows U2 360 At The Rose Bowl charting as an ALBUM in Germany, where it comes in at #7 this week (chart date 8/24/10), up 7 spots from #14 last week.
I did a little digging looking for past magazines and found one from the chart week dated 8/3/10...and sure enough, the Rose Bowl DVD was in the Top 10 on BB's European album chart.
Sorry if this has already been posted...I have not looked through past threads and just stopped by today when I saw that the DVD was showing up on album charts. I know that it did debut at #1 on the DVD music/concert chart here in the U.S., but don't even know what week that was and haven't been able to take in the DVD myself just yet.
Saw it on youtube on the night of the original broadcast...will have to find a copy at my local music shop. Bringing back lots of memories of seeing U2 last year with my 10-year old daughter in Atlanta...great, great night.
I'm ill again, so I'm going to look around the 'net and see how the DVD did on the charts, and if it hasn't already been posted, I'll drop in with some updates. Cheers!
