Are there numbers regarding how much a tour costs, for any U2 tour, available?
Usually all we see is the other end, how much they made.

In Carter Allen's book, "Outside Is America", its reported that ZOO TV had price tag of 125,000 dollars a day. POPMART price tag was 214,000 dollar a day. Both figures are for stadium legs of the tours and are from the year of the tour and not adjusted for inflation. The Elevation tour was primarily in Arena's and had a cost that was about 1/3 that of POPMART adjusted for inflation. On Vertigo, the Stadium legs had a price similar to POPMART after adjusting for inflation, while the arena part of the tour cost about the same as Elevation.

Expenses for POPMART were about $75 million dollars.

Elevation expenses were around $25 million dollars do to the fact that the tour was almost entirely in Arena's.

For the Vertigo tour expenses so far have been around $80 million dollars and could top $100 million dollars once everything is through. The IRISH TIMES reported that the cost of the 2005 European tour was 32 million Euros which is almost $40 million dollars.

Thanks for that.

If Popmart and Zoo TV were so expensive shows, how come the tickets for Elevation and Vertigo arena shows were more expensive?
And in comparison to Popmart also, stadium Vertigo tickets cost more right?
