Since I get the info, I thought I'd start a thread updating all the chart watchers on how U2 fares on each week's edition of the Billboard chart...at least until we have another album. Starting with last week's issue (August 12):
Best Of 1980-1990 climbs 11 more spots to #28 on the Pop Catalog chart. With the BB Hot 200 albums sales down right now, the BB Top 200 Comprehensive albums sales chart that measures sales of the Top 200 albums, regardless of when they were released, looked vastly different than the BB Hot 200.
Anyway, the point here is that U2's Best Of missed the Top 200 by a hair...as the #26 Pop Catalog album made it at #197, and we're probably talking about sales differences of less than 50 units per chart position.
In Norway, the Aug 12 edition continues to show One at #2, which makes this 3 weeks in a row after it peaked in the Top Slot.
Similarly, The European Hot 100 Singles shows that One has gone from 23-22-21 in the last 3 weeks, reversing the trend that had the song dropping previously.
