Here are the top 9 selling artists of decade up to end of Sep 2009 so this will change with the mad sales rush over Xmas - sales from Music Week which i got off another forum

1. Robbie Williams - 12.18m
2. Westlife - 10.14m
3. Coldplay - 9.12m
4. Eminem - 8.01m
5. The Beatles - 6.80m (up from 6.755m last week)
6. Oasis - 6.72m
7. Take That - 6.69m
8. Madonna - 6.68m (jumps above U2 with 77k 1st week of Celebration)
9. U2 - ~6.60-67m

Too bad sales for NLOTH were so low. Otherwise U2 would have easily made the artists top 5 in UK, behind Eminem.

9th biggest selling album artist of the decade in the UK but the UK is not that into U2?!?! So, who exactly is the UK into, since their not into U2 or anyone who sold roughly the same or less than U2?

That list would make more sense if it were read in conjunction with average sales per album.

but more than half of their sales is back catalogue and greatest hits.
