what's happened? 4-14 for U2...13-1 for Green Day...1-9 for robin Williams...24-5 for the killers and 36-5 for the zutons

strange..very strange chart..Nirvana's Nevermind # 19 ?? Are you sure about these numbers? Do you know about the sales???

any need to be worried? am quite a novice and the whole stat game so i dunno if this is something to be concerned about or not?

actually quite sickening...... is this the start of a flop?

utter balls...

In UK sold +750,000 copies so far, that's a flop?
In US sold +2.000,000 copies in 5 weeks, that's a flop?
Worldwide sold almost 6.000,000 copies in a month, that's a flop?

It's strange but it's right. I thought that they would easily get a Top 10 place but no, they lost 10 places...

But still a very good result after 6 weeks!
I think that ATYCLB was not as long in den UK top 10 as the bomb. However it was a hit and was very long between number 20 and 40 in the charts.

ATYCLB in UK:

1-4-10-20-25-26-28(DP)-29-29-23
17-12-12-7-7-8-10-3-6

So I think that we could see the bomb in the Top 10 again soon...

The week of New Years is a little strange, I think we'll see u2 back in the top ten soon, especially when tour dates get announced and when SYCMIOYO video comes around. No need to panic, HTDAAB is far from a 'flop' in the uk. It held the top spot for 3 weeks, something u2 hasn't done for a very long time in the uk.

Does anything like this normally happen around this time in the UK? Talk about bizarre!

this is natural for the album to drop down the charts at this stage between singles. When Sometimes starts to be played regually on the radio and is released and when they play the brits in early Feb exept the album to rise back up into top 10. Then it will dissappear again until the tour arrives in the UK in July and u will see the album rise again.

it has nivana's as a new entry

Actually, Nirvana's Nevermind rose 128 positions apparently. The most likely cause for this bizarre chart is the post-Christmas sales slump and probably some heavy discounting on older titles. Keep in mind that not only U2 are affected by this. Last week's #1 (Robbie Williams) is now at #9 and last week's #2 is now at #13. Of last week's top 10, only the Scissor Sisters (#2) and Kylie Minogue (#7) have not dropped.

C ya!

This is a starange time in the UK, with many older titles heavily discounted - that said the drop here is bigger than I would have expected. The new single & Brits appearance will help though.
