Using SoundScan and Billboard numbers, NLOTH's run in the U.S. is:

1-3-2-6-12-14-16-22-34-36

484,472* + 132,494 + 76,317 + 51,179 + 35,989 + 34,764 + 20,545 + 17,457 + 14,075 + 14,977

Total: 882,296

*Includes 547 copies due to "early street sales".

The first 10 weeks shows some interesting aspects of the charts. Despite a drop of nearly 60,000 copies sold, NLOTH rose one week on the charts. Then, despite a rise of nearly 1000 copies, NLOTH dropped another week. Easter and Mother's Day had mininmal effect - if anything, they appeared to level the album's sales for a bit. But it does appear that unless a song breaks through or the tour starts, the album will slowly drop to about 10,000 copies sold per week (where it may level off for a while).

Well at least in the U.S. it will get to 900,000 copies sold :D

It will get to a million here in the U.S. .....It will just take a little longer than expected

I really think their record company needs to push "Crazy Tonight" to Top 40 radio...I could see that song doing well on the charts....I was shocked when it wasn't the 2nd single off the album.

Platinum certification is in order now.

Strange, on the chart itself there is not even a GOLD certification for it, whereas others there have multi-platinum.

"initial ship 2xP=40k" - sold after first two weeks at #1 - week 1 was actually a "week 0" (counting sales just from friday to sunday), it was a headline news on many music sites over here, and then there were reports on the same sites that it's 3xP after 4th week (then still at #1).
I admit that "near 4xP" is just my gues, based on 5 more weeks in top5 and another 2 weeks still in top10 (6-8), when everything else on the chart are music compilation, soundtracks and a few very popular (over here) acts that always sell well, NLOTH is really doing great in Poland

Doc-Would you know NLOTH's run in Canada?

Good to see a slight rebound. I would suspect this is due to the Blackberry commercial in the US.

Doc-Would you know NLOTH's run in Canada?

I haven't kept track of Canada or other countries this time - I'm barely keeping track of the U.S. LOL! But I'm sure someone here can post that info. People have provided NLOTH's runs in a wide array of countries. It would be nice to update this thread with all of that info. (HINT :sexywink: )

So we're probably looking at breaking the 1 million mark around November. Tour and hype that comes along with it to the big cities will probably push it real close. Then there's the holiday shopping season and could expect some decent numbers then too.

Guess it all depends on U2's marketing department (or lack of). If Crazy takes off and becomes a super smash, U2 could see a huge rebound in sales come Xmas.

Also with some more sales...
