just to get an overall picture of the money people make from albums. I alway s figured in my head maybe $1.50-$2 per album sold?

Is it different from artist to artist depending on contract/label?

U2s take is split 5 (6?) ways? - who pays the crew/support team?

U2 has a 25% royalty rate on the suggested retail value of each album. If its 19.99, then U2 gets about 5 dollars, buck for each member of the band. U2 has the highest royalty rate in the industry.

Thats why they are promoting the piss out of the last 2 albums there is lots of money in it for them.

So, how much would they be making per album? Do you have the total worldwide sales to figure out how much each of the band members made?
