A new week, a new opportunity for How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb to increase its sales total. The first organisation to provide an indication of sales, HITS Daily Double, has started its sales chart again! :applaud:

So, without further delay, here are the first figures. With a very scientific 0.58% counted:
2 1 BECK GUERO 1,719
-- 2 HOT HOT HEAT ELEVATOR 856
1 3 50 CENT THE MASSACRE 841
9 4 JACK JOHNSON IN BETWEEN DREAMS 603
10 5 GREEN DAY AMERICAN IDIOT 526
...
48 45 U2 HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB 138

Have fun watching the charts build. :D

C ya!

Marty

It would be nice to see another week on the hits chart so far so good...too early to tell though.

Now with 66.49% in:
1 1 50 CENT THE MASSACRE 109,746
-- 2 FAITH EVANS FIRST LADY 102,351
6 3 NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC V18 54,432
5 4 WILL SMITH LOST & FOUND 40,872
7 5 LARRY THE CABLE GUY RIGHT TO BARE ARMS 38,400
...
48 45 U2 HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB 13,932

And with 82.98% in (a slightly more substantial update):
-- 1 FAITH EVANS FIRST LADY 141,057
1 2 50 CENT THE MASSACRE 136,985
6 3 NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC V18 68,489
5 4 WILL SMITH LOST & FOUND 54,067
2 5 BECK GUERO 51,745
...
48 39 U2 HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB 17,928

HITS' final results are in!

1 1 50 CENT THE MASSACRE 162,747 -16%
-- 2 FAITH EVANS FIRST LADY 155,281 --
6 3 NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC V18 76,566 -21%
2 4 BECK GUERO 71,609 -52%
10 5 GREEN DAY AMERICAN IDIOT 61,130 +2%
...
48 38 U2 HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB 21,170 +6%

So U2 made it in the top 40, a rise of 10 spots on the HITS index and a sales increase of 6%. Good stuff.

Wow! Great result (much better than my prediction of 18K) and congratulations to MatejUK on your prediction of 21K - I think you've just won yourself a few $$'s. The only obvious question now is will Billboard agree?

Finally starting to see the tour affect the album's sales. Quite good.

I think that actually, with the tour but without a big hit (Sometimes in Usa is going well but is not a smash hit!) 20k for week is the best for the Bomb.
Do you agree?

I totally agree and I only hope Billboard will put 'the bomb' at 22K+ and No.35.

MatejU2 - I never expected you to predict the correct sales AND position - that is virtually impossible at this stage. Of course there is still an outside chance that Billboard will put the album at No.46.
