Hits, 3rd Week

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
With 16.77% in:
3 1 EMINEM ENCORE 39,312
-- 2 LUDACRIS THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT 38,553
2 3 U2 HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB 38,001
1 4 JAY-Z/LINKIN PARK COLLISION COURSE 26,689
23 5 GREEN DAY AMERICAN IDIOT 22,748

In election speak, that is 'too close to call' :D

Our experts are telling us that the entire country is being put in the 'too close to call' column, although it is expected that U2 will come in a tight 3rd, preceded by a rebounding Eminem and a moderate opening weekend for Ludacris.

Let's take a look at the map...;)

It seems the albums keep moving around!

NOW IN: 34.09%

1- NOW THAT WHAT I CALL MUSIC! V.17 -- 85,513

2- SHANIA TWAIN -- 79,918

3- U2 -- 73,712

What's up with that compilation at #1 ?

34.09% U2 #3 73,712

but i think this time looking at this chart is completely useless till it reaches 60-70% even to guess the chart position (now at #1 there's "NOW THAT WHAT I CALL MUSIC! V.17" while ludacris is #9)

Hits is predicting Ludacris to sell over 400,000 copies, so the fact that he's #9 at this point strongly shows how making projections is erroneous.

That said, if U2 are able to approach 200,000 copies, I'll be very happy.

Given the super strong sales in the U.K. this past week, I wonder if HTDAAB will have stronger sales in the U.K. than in the U.S. this week!

shouldn't this week be a little more strong in term of sales than the previous one?..couldn't it be that HTDAAB sells more or less the same amount of copies of the last week?:hmm:

Hopefully...

Anyway, here's a new update to have all the chart watchers drooling over the new numbers.

Based on these numbers, "Bomb" is heading for 230,000 in sales this week which would be really impressive.

I always wonder why some albums start out high and then move down.....U2 was leading last week by a great deal and then all of a sudden it was far behind.....I wonder which places are usually reporting first.....

Shhh.... don't give away all our secrets.

Diane DeGarmo, the American Idol runner-up from last season, has her album debut this week. Yet, unless I'm just missing it, I don't even see her in the Top 50. Hmm... flop?
